Welcome new CHCA President Julie Smyth!

Julie and her family have lived in Colonial Hills for the past 12 years.
Secretary Kelly Jaeger and Treasurer John Drago have agreed serve again for 2012-2013.
Many thanks to outgoing President Rachael Dorthy and Vice President Matt Lenky.
We still need a Vice President to join the fun and help organize the July 4th events to accompany our Annual 5K race (race already has a chair). Please step up!

Colonial Hills 5K Race Results

Kudos to all our runners who braved the early morning heat to run in the Colonial Hills “Run Through The Hills” 5K Race. You can view the race results here.

Community Garage Sale 6/16

Participate in our annual Neighborhood Garage Sale:

  1. Submit a Garage Sale Permit Form to the Worthington City Clerk, 6550 North High Street (City Hall).
  2. On the day of the sale, pick up a map at the Selby Park Shelter House to find the location of all the goodies!

Welcome to 2012

Are you keeping up with the Colonial Hills Courier? We post it online of course, and the link is here. Thank you to all our neighbors who have been participating in the block watch. A criminal was caught breaking into cars on Loveman Avenue in early January after and alert neighbor saw them (at 3:30 am!!!) and called the police. Calls to police about “solicitors” have been up as well, and it is all good. Keep up the good work, keep your cars empty of valuables and let’s work together to make Colonial Hills as unfriendly to prowlers as possible.

Holiday Decorating Contest Winners

Special thanks to Sean Buckley for leading our judging effort for this year’s Colonial Hills Decorating Contest. The judges, who shall remain anonymous, have made their choices. Winners should look for a special additional decoration in their yard courtesy of David Nadolny and the scouts.

Food Drive – and a nice article by Donnie Austin

Just a quick reminder that volunteers will be picking up food from front porches on Saturday, November 19th beginning at 10 am. We donate the food to the Worthington Food Pantry and St. Michael’s Church Pantry, working with Colonial Hills Elementary School. The food benefits families who live in the Worthington School District. Thank you for your generosity!

We noticed this fantastic article in Columbus Underground about living in Colonial Hills by resident Donnie Austin. The next time you stop in House Wine, tell Donnie how much you appreciate the kind words about our neighborhood!

Vote – November 8th

In the November 2011 Courier, the important issue of Riverlea Annexation is discussed. With the election coming up on November 8th, be sure to check it out! We also have photos from our wonderful Halloween kids party and information on Project MORE at Colonial Hills Elementary School.
